Kyiv International Institute of Sociology

Report on the results of the study survey undertaken by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology on demand of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy in the period February-March, 2006.

The survey put the goal to collect the data which can furthemore allow:

• to determine the current level of engagement of habitants of 5 regions of Ukraine to the political reforming process, in particular, participation in policy-making at local level;
• to determine the motives induces people to take part in political life, as well as key problems of fostering citizen participation in political reforming process;
• to set up the standards for the regular evaluation of effectivity and influence of the WFD Ukrainian Program.
